Take a look at a list of our perennials.

Perennial Gardens

Come visit the Perennial Gardens and look at the leaf color of Lysimachia nummularia ‘Aurea,’ the pale green inflorescence of Helleborus argutifolius, the spots on Pulmonaria longifolia ‘Bertram Anderson,’ or just stroke the leaf of Stachys byzantina.

As part of her Honors Credit, Jenna Rozum has created the Perennial Gardens for identification purposes for the AGR 254: Herbaceous Plant class. The three perennial beds offer students and other plant enthusiasts an opportunity to look at a diverse array of perennials. Jenna researched the material in order to design a garden to house shade, partial shade and sun loving plants. Jenna drew a formal landscape plan, aided in the ordering and collection of plant material and assisted in the installation of the plants. Several individuals contributed to this project including, Casey’s Garden Shop and Greenview Nursery. Jenna continues to nurture the garden even though she has successfully completed her honors project. As the garden matures we hope to increase the collection, add a formal edging, a flagstone walkway, and outdoor artwork through volunteer work, donations, and sponsors.
