The following image depicts the final design for the Viburnum Walk and is a compilation of nine student designs.

The designs below were completed by the AGR 353: Landscape design and Construction class in the fall of 2006. The Conceptual Plan for the Horticulture Center calls for a diverse array of Viburnums planted along Raab Road in a fanned out pattern. The HC Plan for 2007 situates the Viburnum Walk in a more central location and on the south side of the Center. Students will be able to use these plants for identification classes and the community will be welcomed to come and examine this assemblage of plants for such characteristics as their hardy statures, blooms and leaf color.
The Fell Arboretum has generously offered a donation toward the establishment of the Viburnum Walk. The Center will use the donation towards the purchase of some of the viburnums located on the center of the design. The installation of the Viburnum Walk will begin with the center plantings and then, as more funding is available from other sources, the outer plantings will be installed.
